Quincy Recycle became heavily involved in plastic recycling in 1996 to meet our customers’ demands. We handle in excess of 1 million pounds of plastic scrap per month. Most of the plastic that we purchase is brought to our Quincy plant or our Chicago plant for processing. However, we have developed very strong markets throughout the country for straight brokerage loads of plastic film, HDPE Natural, HDPE Color, PET as well as post -industrial grades of plastic.
Quincy Recycle purchases mixed loads of plastic as well including plastic purgings, rolls of clear and printed film and commingled # 1 - # 7 residential plastic. We have (2) 100 horsepower grinders, an 84 inch guillotine, and several balers to process plastic that we purchase.
Our payment terms often distinguish us from our competitors when purchasing plastic. We always pay within 30 days from shipment
