When to Choose a Horizontal Baler for Your Business

A horizontal baler is a strategic investment for medium to large-scale operations, such as warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing plants.

If any of the following statements are true for you, a horizontal baler could significantly benefit your business:

  • Your business produces a high volume of waste materials each month (over 50 tons).
  • Loose waste materials are a hazard to your employees and operations.
  • Waste bins and materials are occupying valuable storage space.
  • You're spending a significant amount on landfill fees and waste removal services.
  • You have enough space to accommodate a larger footprint.
  • Efficiency and fast processing times are a priority.
  • You want to meet environmental responsibility expectations and reduce your carbon footprint.

How Horizontal Balers Work

Horizontal balers are heavy-duty recycling machines equipped to handle the challenges of heightened production demands and high-volume recycling. They can be manually or automatically operated. Typically fed by a conveyor system or tote tipper, horizontal balers compact a variety of material for efficient transport. Horizontal units can bale a wide variety of material including cardboard, paper, newspaper, printer trim, film, plastic parts and more.

Horizontal balers are capable of producing high-density bales of 2000+ pounds and effectively manage waste streams of 50-5,000 tons or more per month. For smaller volume waste streams, check out our vertical balers.

Benefits of Auto-Tie Horizontal Balers

Manual labor in the recycling process can be greatly reduced through the use of an Auto-tie horizontal baler system. As you load material into an auto-tie baler, it will operate automatically, compressing waste into manageable bales of similar density and weight. After compression, an automatic baling wire system ties the bale together. The compressed bales can then be stacked until transport, saving space normally occupied by waste bins. An auto-tie baler can be a cost-effective solution that allows your team to focus less on waste and more on your business production.
